Bharatiya Janata Party's Jadeja Virendrasinh Bahadursinh won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Gohil Shaktisinhji Harichandrasinhji by a margin of 9,046 votes.
The top two candidates split 94.6% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jadeja Virendrasinh Bahadursinh got a total of 79,469 votes, while Indian National Congress's Gohil Shaktisinhji Harichandrasinhji secured 70,423 votes. Independent candidate Rangani Maheshbhai Karshanbhai secured 1,282 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 50.2%, 44.5% and 0.8% respectively.
